Wood Stains
Range of alcohol soluble dyes
Based on stringent experimental trials and on the basis of our long time acquired experiences, we can offer a complete selection of dyestuffs, (often still referred to by the old name of "anilines"), suited for application on wood, combining ease of use and good light fastness. These dyestuffs are generally used either in the professional or in the domestic / hobby sector.
Alcohol soluble dyestuffs have superior brilliance and colouring power.
LIGHT-FASTNESS:
Demonstrated in accordance with the UNI EN ISO 105-B01: 2002 standard, on test material which has not been treated with a top coat using alcoholic solutions containing 20 gr/l of colour.Applying a top coat generally increases light-fastness by around 2 units.
PROCEDURES:
Stains, either on their own or blended, are dissolved in alcohol (5 ~ 20 gr/l) until the desired density is obtained. At this point the article is stained using the chosen method (dipping, spraying, brush or applicator pad etc.)
