1914 - Milan, In via Porpora 92 a new company sees the light. Cesare Fiorio's principal activity is the sale of food colours and essences. Since that first step, 90 years ago, the company has gone from strength to strength.1932 - In their new headquarters in via Porpora 93, the Fratelli Fiorio, expands the company's activities, supplying its clients in Italy with wood dyes as well as the established range of food colours.
1945 - In via Asiago 14 the company builds the first production plant to manufacture synthetic organic colours for the pharmaceutical and food industries as well as industrial dyes for the textile and wood industries. The company begins exporting its products within Europe.
1969 - The second generation of the Fiorio family transfers the factory to the site where it is presently located in Via Italia 28, Gessate, near Milan, in order to expand and strengthen the company's manufacturing base. Products are now exported outside Europe.
1985 - The Fratelli Fiorio S.r.l. turns into the Fiorio Colori S.p.a.
1989 - Fiorio Colori Spa sets in motion a development process based on a thorough restructuring of all aspects of the company including manufacturing, emphasising technological innovation, development of new products, improvement of quality standards and sales growth.
1995 - The company is amongst the first in Italy to gain UNI EN 29002-ISO 9002 certification.
In 2002 the company is certified in accordance with UNI EN ISO 9001:2000 standards.
2004 - Fiorio Colori Spa has now arrived at the third generation of the family. Manufacturing and sales have been totally overhauled; the company is amongst the world leaders in the food colour manufacturing sector. In fact it is now the only European company with a complete range of synthetic dyes.
